GigiPress is a vinyl pressing plant in Italy created within the social cooperative Amici di Gigi, an educational reality supporting adults with disabilities in work inclusion. With Pheenix Alpha technology and the energy of our team, we produce up to 1,000 records per day.

Production
The production process in a pressing plant is easy to understand: we start from the matrices and end with the finished record. That is why there is a minimum run.
The production process inside a pressing plant like ours means reproducing copies of a record in series by pressing PVC with matrices, or stampers, made specifically for your music. These stampers have a high cost and represent a fixed cost for each order and production. That is why the minimum run starts at 100 copies.
The same applies to printed packaging. We work with partners who can produce even 100 optimized copies for us, but below that number the print process does not allow proper production standards.
Stampers are the matrices that carry the grooves. They are created through cutting and galvanic processing: they are a starting cost regardless of the number of copies and weigh heavily on small productions.
300 gsm full-color jackets, sleeves and center labels: here too the minimum threshold is needed to keep quality and consistency high. Below certain numbers, proper print standards become difficult to guarantee.
Packaging, shrink wrapping, protective boxes and logistics: we can deliver the finished product and, on request, also manage shipping to final customers.
For 7" and 10" formats we plan a minimum run of 300 copies. If you are interested, contact us and we will define the best configuration.
Audio specifications
The maximum duration of one side is about 24 minutes. If you want to go deeper, here are the specific cases by format and speed.
There are two main playback speeds, 33 and 45 rpm. The higher the number of revolutions per minute, the better the audio quality.
- Cut at 33 rpm — max. 24:00 minutes per side
- Cut at 45 rpm — max. 11:00 minutes per side
- At 33 rpm — max. 15:00 minutes per side
- At 45 rpm — max. 07:00 minutes per side
- At 33 rpm — max. 06:30 minutes per side
- At 45 rpm — max. 04:30 minutes per side
